PILATES PASSION

I discovered Pilates in the 1990s whilst working as a computer programmer, spending much of my working day sitting at a desk. I found it helped relieve the stress of my job as well as improving my posture.

How I Got Started

In 2001 I started training in anatomy and physiology and initally trained as a fitness instructor. I wanted to train into PIlates but I was too scared to run classes. Scared of public speaking etc.

It wasn't until I had worked as a Nutritional Therapist for a number of years, where I had been forced to run talks and workshops in order that I could attract new clients, that I finally decided I could do it.

I worked for David Lloyd and ran 7 successful Lose and Shape up groups, and this gave me the confidence to talk in front of an audience. I started training into Level 3 mat Pilates early 2014 and started up my classes in Norton September 2014 and never looked back. I'm still in the same venue and always booked out.

Many of my customers have been with me for years, some even trained with me and started with me at the beginning of my journey.

MY VALUES

Exercise

I believe that exercise is fundamental to good health and really important for our wellbeing. It's also destressing and helps improve focus.

Health

I took a degree in nutritional medicine and practised as a Nutritional Therapist for 13 years, and therefore yes, health and nutrition is very close to my heart.
